Some drawing reflection mainly from Vannessa’s session.
1. Beans technique.

This is the technique that I find out really useful and inspired me to improve my drawing quality. and as an animation student, I felt it will be quite helpful to my character design as well. so I would like to summarize a few points about it.
In the very first session, Vannessa introduced the technique that drawing two beans shape to settle the body part (generally from clavicle to pelvis ), also determine the acting range. Then put points to make sure the position of the neck root and waist part.
Besides, finger out which beans should be at the front, and which one should be at the back, (draw the front one darker). It is a very important step because this is the quickest way to create the volume and perspective for a body drawing.
Here are some of my practices from the week2 session. : )

The differences in drawing female and male characters
I have always found that male characters are difficult to draw, rather than females. It constantly takes me more time to get accurate of each line.

2. Create volumes.

From flat shading to a single curve line, a very simple but really useful technique to visually make a perspective.

3. Angle and Perspectives.
When relying on the camera, emphasize the certain body part. it can give the drawing a lens feeling (on the area of comic and storyboard)
